I recently discovered drywood termites in my attic after having an inspection done. I live in South Florida, which is known for termite issues, and I've heard that several of my neighbors have them too. The pest control company quoted me around $6,200 for their treatment plan, which includes setting bait traps for subterranean termites around the house, spraying the wood to get rid of the current drywood termites, and installing TAP insulation to protect against future infestations and bugs. My house is about 2,000 square feet. Is this price reasonable, and is that insulation worth it? Thanks for any insights!

If you've only got drywood termites, tenting is definitely your best option. It's likely to take care of the issue more thoroughly than bait traps, especially if you're concerned about them coming back.
Be careful with treating for subterranean termites if you don't have them! A lot of folks down here in Miami-Dade go for tenting when dealing with drywood termites. It's usually the most effective method. I've been using DIY Bora Care, and it’s been working well for me; it's cheap and has lasting effects! But I hear that I'll eventually need to tent again every few years, costing around a grand each time if they return.
