I'm considering replacing my current flooring and I'm curious if anyone has had good experiences with waterproof laminate floors from big box stores. My last flooring was LVP without padding. It was decent until it started buckling due to poor installation in my crawlspace. I've taken steps to ensure my new flooring won't face the same issues by using treated wood and insulating against moisture. However, I've read a lot of advice against buying from big box stores. Since that's pretty much my only option, which brands can I trust?

From what I've researched, even if you get moisture under LVP, it can lead to buckling if not addressed, plus there's the risk of mold. I've had good success with the wet-protect Pergo laminate. Just be sure to follow the installation instructions carefully. Also, Lowe's house brand is actually made by Pergo, so it could be worth checking out! Plus, laminate has a more realistic feel and tends to sit nicely next to tiles.
I've used high-end Pergo from Lowe's in two properties and I honestly prefer it over LVP. It’s been really durable and looks great!

What do you think makes it better than LVP?
