Hey everyone! I'm a right-handed person and I've been wondering about blade-right saws. Do any of you find them handy? What are the main benefits or features that make them useful? I currently own a 7-1/4 and a 6-1/2 saw, so I'm feeling pretty covered. But I'm curious if blade-right saws are more like 'left-handed' tools? When it comes to cutting at 45 degrees, could they actually be advantageous?

Just to clarify, sidewinders are typically blade-right but it doesn’t mean they're for left-handed users. They make sure the saw operates with the weight of the motor and the support against the workpiece, so it’s more stable while cutting.
As a lefty, I prefer blade-left saws since I feel more in control and have a clearer view of my cut line. With blade-right saws, my left arm tends to cross over a lot. It’s funny, though, I also shoot right-handed in sports!
I actually use a blade-right saw and really like it! One major perk is that it rests on the workpiece instead of the piece getting cut off, giving me better visibility. Plus, I find it helpful that the sawdust doesn’t blow straight at me!
Sounds like a solid option! Definitely need to consider visibility while cutting.

Haha, that's definitely a bonus! Less mess in my face!
