Are BusyBee Tools Worth It?

Hey everyone! I'm currently on the lookout for a bandsaw and I've come across BusyBee's own tool brand. They seem appealing since they're priced lower than many competitors here in Canada. I'm curious if anyone has experience using their tools, particularly the bandsaws. I'm wondering if there are any downsides or trade-offs to choosing BusyBee tools over others. I originally had my eyes set on a Rikon 17" bandsaw. Thanks for your insights!

I’m going through the same process right now. What did you ended up getting after?

I don't have experience with the bandsaw specifically, but I recently purchased the Craftex dust collector and I'm really happy with it! It has a 1-micron filter bag and is rated at 400 CFM, which is definitely sufficient for a table saw, bandsaw, or sander. So at least their dust collection products seem solid!

That's great to hear! So Craftex is part of their in-house brand too? I was checking out their 3hp twin dust collector but wasn't sure how well they perform.

Craftex and BusyBee are pretty much the same line under BusyBee, with Craftex being their more premium brand. If you're looking into BusyBee, just know it's their value line. A lot of brands like Rikon, Laguna, and Grizzly tend to source from the same manufacturers overseas, so features and components can vary a lot even if the base is the same.
