I've been exploring various awning options and noticed that while brands like Sunsetter and Marygrove offer some quality products, they're outside my price range right now. I've come across several manual retractable awnings on Amazon for under $500. They seem decent based on reviews, but I'm skeptical about their quality. Have any of you tried these cheaper models? How durable are they, and do you think they're a good investment?

I bought a Best Choice Products 10 ft awning back in 2018, and it's been pretty reliable with no maintenance needed so far. I did have to replace the cover in 2024, but I found that Outsunny covers fit just right. Seems like they might be similar brands, so might be worth checking out if you're considering budget options.
I've had a Coolaroo ten-foot retractable shade for about eight years, and it's still going strong! The color hasn’t faded, the stitching is intact, and the crank mechanism works just like it did on day one. Definitely recommend it for a budget-friendly option.
