Are Composite Deck Tiles Suitable for a Sunroom?

I recently bought a house with a sunroom that's about 107 square feet. The prior owners just had carpet with a rug on the subfloor, and I'm looking to upgrade it for the summer. Since the sunroom isn't insulated, I'm aiming for an 'indoor porch' vibe. I came across some composite deck tiles at Costco and I'm wondering if they're a good choice for this space. Are there any important things I should consider before installing them, or are there better options out there?

Have you considered vinyl tiles or planks? They’re super easy to install and could work well for your sunroom if you don’t get much direct sunlight. Real tile is a solid option too, especially the wood-look tiles for that cozy porch vibe. I've had good luck with them!

Vinyl sounds great for ease! Just be sure to pick one that can handle some foot traffic.

Composite tiles are definitely made to withstand outdoor conditions. I even use them in my basement where there’s some moisture, and they’ve been fantastic. They allow airflow and drain water away, plus I’ve laid area rugs on top to make it cozier. Honestly, I wish I had done this sooner!

I’ve got composite deck tiles at my place, and honestly, they can get super hot under direct sunlight. You really can’t walk on them barefoot when it’s blazing outside! On the bright side, they’ve held up great for over 20 years in all kinds of weather, including snow and sun, so they’re durable. Just keep the heat in mind if you choose them!

Yup, I can second that! They’re really tough and last forever, but during summer you might need some slippers to protect your feet from the heat!
