Hey folks! I could use your insights on a concrete retaining wall at my place that was probably built around 2011. I've noticed a bunch of cracks all over it, and I'm curious if this is just something that happens as it ages or if I should be worried. The cracks are mainly thin vertical lines, but some are wider and they seem to stretch across the entire width of the wall. I've included some pictures here: [https://imgur.com/a/DJjmjb6](https://imgur.com/a/DJjmjb6).
Are these cracks something serious that I should fix, or are they just typical settling cracks? If I do need to fix them, can I just seal them up, or will I need to call in a professional for help? Any experiences or advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

From the looks of the cracks and a grid pattern, it seems like your wall is built with concrete blocks rather than being poured concrete. That’s not necessarily bad if it’s anchored properly. It looks stable to me, but keep an eye out for water seeping through or any significant displacement across the cracks, as that could indicate something more serious.
For repairs, if the cracks are not showing leaks, sealing might be a good start, but make sure to check if it's just cosmetic. Do you plan on fixing it yourself? Epoxy can be a decent choice for DIY repairs, especially for someone new to it, just follow the instructions carefully!
If you're unsure about using epoxy, maybe check out a local DIY store – they can offer some advice! It's always good to tackle small jobs yourself to build your skills.
It's always best to fill in cracks to prevent water from getting in. When water freezes, it expands, which could cause more damage over time, especially during winter. So don’t ignore them! Just sealing them can save you headaches down the line.

Yeah, it definitely looks like it's made of blocks! Thanks for confirming that. ? Do you think I should still consider repairing those cracks? I'm a bit new to DIY, so any tips would be great!
