Hey everyone! I'm the lead tech at a super busy auto repair shop where I handle all the big jobs like motors and transmissions. I take great care of my tools, especially my cordless ones, but with heavy use, they can wear out quickly. I've tried Snap-On tools, but they often need repairs (sometimes not covered by warranty), and replacing them can get really pricey. I then switched to Matco tools, which have generally held up well, but I had issues with their 3/8 impact wrench, which was in for repairs more than I actually used it. I'm considering DeWalt tools as they have a decent warranty and a good price point, but I'm curious if they can handle daily use in a shop environment. Specifically, I'm looking at models dcf961, dcf901, dcf923, dcf513, and dcf503e, planning to get PowerStack batteries for most of them. Has anyone here used DeWalt impacts in an actual shop setting? What's your experience? Thanks a ton!

If you're looking at buying, check out a sale I just saw: the DCF961 with a 5Ah oil-resistant battery and a 4A charger for $250! That's a killer deal for such a tough tool.
I've had a great experience with DeWalt tools! Their warranty support is solid; if you're keeping your receipts, you won’t have issues. I own a DCF921 and it’s durable, plus the new models have these awesome mode buttons which are super handy. One model even stops hammering at 100 ft/lbs, just right for putting on wheels!
The DCF891 is another great option – it's pretty versatile. Just a heads up though, if you need high torque, the Matco you have is a 1400 breakout, which is noticeable. DeWalt may not hit quite that level, but it's still very capable!
