Are DeWalt Tools Made in China of Lower Quality?

Hi everyone! I'm currently in China and looking to buy some power tools, particularly the DeWalt DCF892 impact and DCD805 drill. I was informed that these tools are produced locally in China. While I understand that many products are manufactured there, I've heard that there can be a difference in quality between products sold locally and those shipped internationally, possibly due to cost reductions or less stringent quality control. I'm curious if anyone has experience with DeWalt tools made in China, and if they differ in quality from the ones available in the US. Any insights would be appreciated!

If you're worried about authenticity, it might help to check if the seller is officially recognized by DeWalt. Look for certifications or contact DeWalt directly to confirm if they have any official retailers in China.

From my experience, it's tough to know for sure if what you’re getting is genuine DeWalt. In China, it seems like only about 10% of products claiming to be DeWalt are actually the real deal. So, I'd be cautious about what you're purchasing.

That makes sense, but I actually contacted the DeWalt official store on TaoBao. So it makes me think there’s a good chance it’s legit.

I think companies often produce unofficial products using the same lines when they aren’t busy fulfilling orders for their main markets. It's something to consider.
