My boyfriend and I are finally updating our kitchen after twenty years in the same house, and we're super excited about it! We've seen the initial designs from our contractor, who uses Fabuwood cabinets. However, my boyfriend, being the thorough researcher he is, found mixed reviews online about these cabinets. We're aiming for mid to top of the line products since we don't want anything cheap from places like Home Depot. Our renovation budget is around $40k, which includes a new sink, cabinets, a new layout, countertops, and an induction stove. We're hoping to get some feedback on whether Fabuwood cabinets are a good choice for us or if we should consider alternatives. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Fabuwood cabinets are definitely better than the typical contractor-grade options you'd find at Home Depot, but they aren't quite in the custom category. I've seen them up close, and they seem to be decent quality and look nice. They're also generally responsive when it comes to handling any mistakes or damage, which is a big plus. Just keep in mind that they do have different quality tiers, so be sure to check what your contractor is offering!
I get that! Since custom is out of budget, are there other brands that might offer better quality? I assume we'll stick with whatever our contractor recommends, but I just want to make sure we're getting something good.
