I've been seeing these mini DC hubs that let you plug in multiple devices, which is super handy for things like power supply during storms. But what I'm really after is a way to connect multiple gadgets that use a Figure 8 power brick to one hub to cut down on the clutter of power bricks. I've tried looking for something like this but haven't had any luck. Do you think mini DC hubs could work with a Figure 8 to DC adapter cable? And while I'm at it, I'd love to upgrade to a USB-C scanner eventually, but it seems like there aren't many mobile printers available that use USB-C yet. Isn't it time we had a single standard to eliminate these annoying power bricks?

Figure 8 cords are what you're talking about, like the ones used for PS4s and similar devices. I get where you’re coming from with the need for a hub, but you'll have to check if those mini DC hubs can handle whatever devices you're plugging in. Some could be tailored for specific power needs, so just be cautious when combining things. As for the USB-C stuff, it’s frustrating that not more portable printers are out there!
Are you referring to small power banks when you mention DC hubs? And just to clarify, the Figure 8 is definitely a reference to those two-prong power cords. Good luck with your search, it seems like a solid idea if you can find the right components!
