I'm located in Dallas where it seems like the cold weather is getting less frequent. I'm concerned about bugs and rodents invading my garden beds. Do you think a greenhouse is a worthy investment for my area? Would it be better to just put netting over my plots, or should I go for an actual greenhouse? Also, I'd love any recommendations if you've had good experiences with greenhouses!

I just picked up a greenhouse in Fort Worth and I can agree about the pests; fire ants are the worst alongside other critters. It’s been a good decision for me!
In Dallas, you might want to consider a shade house instead of a full greenhouse, especially with climate changes coming. They can be better suited for the hotter weather we're seeing. Check out this article for more info on the differences!
I have a greenhouse that I primarily use for starting seeds, and I also have two caterpillar tunnels. I find that everything grows much better in the tunnels—they really help keep birds and pests at bay. I mostly use them during the summer, and they block wind and provide a shield from harmful UV rays. Honestly, I can produce a ton of food in just one 50ft tunnel, and they've paid for themselves several times over. I went with Farmers Friend, but in hindsight, I might have just built my own using a tube bender.
