Are Greenstalks Really Worth It? Share Your Thoughts!

Hey everyone! I keep seeing Greenstalk planters on social media and I'm curious about your experiences with them. Are they really worth the hype? I've been wondering if standard stacked planters work just as well or if these specialized ones are the way to go. I hear you can grow veggies like cabbage, cucumber, and broccoli in them—has anyone tried that? I'm planning to invest in at least one for my porch before the winter planting season, especially since we'll be starting our homesteading journey in January. Would love some honest reviews before I make a decision!

I’m a bit mixed on the Greenstalks. They aren’t bad, but you definitely need some accessories like the lazy susan base to really get the most out of them. They work well for herbs and leafy greens, though!

I loved mine so much that I got two more! They’re on wheeled bases now, which makes rotating them super easy. I've set up a drip line for automated watering too, so it takes a lot of the work off my plate. They're particularly great for strawberries, because managing runners becomes so easy!

I got my mom a Greenstalk for her deck, and she absolutely loves it! She's grown everything from tomatoes to squash and mustard greens in there. I also have one, but I mainly use mine for strawberries. They’re awesome if you're short on space, honestly!

I wasn't a fan of mine and ended up giving it away. It was okay, but my raised beds produced way better, so I couldn't see keeping them. Also, I had issues with slugs liking them!

I’ve had one with strawberries in the back garden, and it’s survived some wild windstorms without a scratch. So, if you're worried about durability, I can vouch for that!

That's good to know! Wind can be brutal, especially on porches.
