I'm new here and I wanted to ask if IKEA plants are worth buying. I've heard mixed reviews and would love to hear your experiences with them!

I bought a couple of jade plants from IKEA about three years ago—got them for just 50 cents each because they were in the as-is section. With some love and care, they've turned into thriving plants! So honestly, it really comes down to how you take care of them more than anything else.
I would definitely suggest isolating your new plants when you first bring them home. I've noticed that places like IKEA can sometimes have pest issues, so a good pest treatment can help. It’s not a guarantee, but it might save you some headaches from bad experiences I've had in the past.
I think it really varies from store to store. The health of the plants seems to depend a lot on how well they're cared for by the staff. If you go in right after a new shipment, you might find some great ones, but I’ve seen some that aren’t in the best shape. Just make sure to check for any pests when you're buying!

Totally agree! Pests are a huge red flag for me too. I once found beautiful plants only to discover spider mites underneath the leaves. No thanks! But I love rescuing distressed plants on sale; it can be rewarding to bring them back to health!
