I'm looking to buy some new M12 batteries and I'm curious about the high output versions. Do they really enhance performance compared to the standard ones? I noticed that the HO 5.0 and the regular 6.0 batteries are priced similarly where I am. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated!

Totally worth it! The high output (HO) 5.0 batteries really make a difference, especially with tools that demand more power. I have six HO 5.0s myself, and I can assure you they're all I've been using except for a couple lower current tools. If you're using more demanding power tools, you won't regret the upgrade.
Yep, more power is always a plus. I found the 5.0s on sale for two for $119 at Home Depot! Just a heads up though, I'm from Australia and found a local company selling both 5.0 and 6.0 for about 110 AUD. If you're international, just check your local shops!
For sure! The 5.0 high outputs are awesome; I love mine too. You can definitely feel the difference in performance between standard and high output batteries. Just keep in mind that the 6.0 might not have the same level of output—I've heard mixed things about it.
