I noticed that M18 Forge 8Ah batteries are on clearance at my local store, but I'm not entirely sure if it's a great deal. The charger isn't included, and I can't really determine how that affects the overall battery price. If I assume the charger is worth about $50, does that mean around $160 per battery is a good price?

Unless you absolutely need the Forge batteries right now, I’d recommend waiting for Black Friday. I’m hoping to see prices more aligned with last year. You might even find a better deal with a higher-end charger.
I saw they're on clearance at a few stores around me. I'm planning to grab them on the next drop.
I realized I didn't mention this earlier, but the clearance price is $379. If you're valuing the charger at around $100, that brings down the price to about $140 per battery, which is decent in my opinion. I have six of these batteries for outdoor work, and they perform exceptionally well.
I compared the 8Ah Forge batteries to last year's holiday prices. They were around $138 each without a charger back then. So, keep that in mind when considering your options.
I saw the deal too and decided to pass. It seems alright now, but last year's Black Friday sales had better prices. If you really need these batteries, go for it. Personally, I don’t factor in the charger’s value when I’m calculating the price of a kit.

I think it's a good deal! I doubt prices will drop to last Black Friday levels. A good charger with a cooling fan would be even better than the rapid charger they offer.
