Are Mosquito Dunks Toxic for Plants?

I came across a comment about mosquito dunks on a Reddit thread that raised my concerns. Someone mentioned that plants watered with mosquito dunks could become toxic. Is there any truth to this? Has anyone else heard about this or has experience with mosquito dunks affecting their plants?

I’m not sure what you mean by 'toxic,' but I’ve used mosquito dunks to eliminate fungus gnats on my indoor plants, and my cat has nibbled on them without any issues. So far, it seems fine!

I can't find the exact comment I read, but the person said the plants could be poisonous, so I got worried that eating them would make me sick.

If your mosquito dunks contain Bti, they’re not generally viewed as toxic to humans or animals. It’s even more unlikely that a plant watered with them would be harmful to consume. You can check this document from the CDC for more info! [CDC Link](https://www.cdc.gov/mosquitoes/pdfs/bti-508.pdf) and [EPA Link](https://www.epa.gov/mosquitocontrol/bti-mosquito-control).

Thanks for the info! I’m using these specific dunks: [Amazon Link](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AH849?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k0_1_3&l=&crid=34VFTJSTI2ES8&l=&sprefix=mos).
