I'm looking into mosquito foggers for landscape maintenance and wondering if they're actually effective. I've heard varying opinions on different types like backpack and electric models. Do they really save time and help keep outdoor spaces free of mosquitoes? Also, any advice on maintenance, safety, and efficiency would be appreciated!

Honestly, I've found mosquito foggers not to be very effective. They just target adult mosquitoes and do a lot of harm to beneficial insects like pollinators. Unless you’re constantly spraying, you're not really going to see long-term results since new mosquitoes will just come back from nearby areas. Addressing standing water and using natural repellents is a better approach.
We also tried professional fogging services after a neighbor got really sick from West Nile. Unfortunately, it was pricey and didn’t deliver results. The fogging companies we tried all seemed to use similar products that just weren't effective. Eventually, we found solutions that worked way better without the hassle. Definitely a gamble with foggers in the south!

Totally agree! I read that foggers kill all sorts of bugs, including those that help reduce mosquito populations, leading to a quick rebound. It seems way better to focus on larvae control instead.
