Are My Grandma’s Old Grapes Safe to Eat After All These Years?

I've been living on my grandma's property for 14 years, where she planted some seedless grapes over 50 years ago. They've had minimal care but never died. Now, with our fridge out for two weeks, I'm craving something sweet and decided to check those old grapes. They look clean and healthy, but I'm anxious about the safety of eating them. Are there any risks I should consider since I can't figure out their condition? Would you feel comfortable munching on these mystery grapes?

Honestly, I’d say go for it! These grapes have been around for ages and haven’t given you any issues before. Just keep an eye out for any signs of contamination or if you think the soil has been treated with pesticides. I’d rather trust the abandoned grapes over potentially treated ones any day!

I understand your concern about contamination from nearby properties, but as long as they look good and you haven't noticed any visible issues, they should be fine. Just wash them well and enjoy!
