I had my cabinets installed today, and I noticed there's a small gap between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling. My contractor wants to have them removed and installed lower so he can add molding, but the installer suggests using caulk instead since the ceiling isn't level. I'm a bit torn on which approach to take and would love to hear your thoughts!

If caulking the gap works for you, you could also caulk the crown molding later. It's really about your preference and what you want the final look to be!
Scribe molding is actually perfect for situations like this where the ceiling isn't level. It can really help cover gaps and still look good!
You should consider how high your countertops are compared to the cabinets. Ideally, there should be at least 16 inches between the countertop and the bottom of the upper cabinets. Functionality is super important, so don’t compromise on that!
