I invested around $5k in Milwaukee power tools in 2021 because I heard great things about their durability. However, I've run into a problem as my impact driver just quit on me during a job, and I've already had to repair my grinder only yesterday. Nearly every tool has either required repairs or replacements. I don't work that much and treat my tools gently, so I'm wondering if this is normal or if I should reconsider my investment in these tools.

Have you checked if your tools are brushed or brushless? That can affect lifespan. Also, doing regular cleaning and maintenance can really increase durability. Just a thought!
I had a similar experience but my Milwaukee tools from my apprenticeship (2010-2013) are still holding up strong despite being heavily used. They’re worn but functional. I even dropped my impact from a ladder into water once, and they replaced my battery at no charge. So, it sounds like you might have got a batch with issues or are using them in ways that push their limits.
From my experience, it really varies by user. Some people are just harder on tools than others. It could be that you're unintentionally pushing your tools beyond their limits. Plus, more advanced tools tend to have more electronics, which might fail more often. How much are you actually using them?
