Are My Repainted Cabinets Good Enough or Should I Expect More?

Hi everyone! I've got a bit of a situation with my kitchen cabinets and I'm hoping for some advice. After a fire at my home six years ago, we rebuilt, and right after finishing, I noticed that all my white painted cabinets were developing spiderweb cracks and peeling paint. It took a lot of effort, but the cabinet company finally acknowledged that the issue stemmed from their paint supplier. Recently, they sent painters to repaint everything, which led to noticeable scratches on the surfaces. The painters did redo the job after I pointed it out, but I still see scratches on almost every door and drawer. Given the amount of money I spent on these custom cabinets, I feel like the quality of the repair isn't what it should be. Am I being unrealistic in expecting a smooth, flawless finish? Should I pursue this further or just let it go?

It sounds like your cabinet company really dropped the ball here. They might be using subpar paint or not applying it properly. A pro tip is to ask what type of paint they're using; a self-leveling paint can help avoid that brush stroke look and provide a smooth finish. Based on your description and the visible scratches, it feels like they’re cutting corners. If they didn't sand properly before painting, those imperfections might stick around, so don’t hesitate to push them for better results!

Thanks for the advice! I feel like they might be trying to cut corners with the same crew that messed up initially. It just doesn't sit right with me, and it helps to hear others think I should be more insistent on quality.
