I just put up a 'No Soliciting' sign at my home, and as soon as I did, I started wondering if it makes me look rude or like the 'that a-hole' neighbor. Does anyone else feel this way, or is it just me? I'm curious about what you all think about these signs!

I have a 'No Soliciting' sign and don’t feel guilty at all. I've got two large dogs that bark when anyone comes to the door, which helps keep pesky solicitors away. If they don’t respect the sign, it's their own fault!
Most people can't stand solicitors, so having a 'No Soliciting' sign doesn’t come off as rude at all. It just means you want to keep your space private. Don’t sweat it!
Exactly! I think I might need a bigger sign too—this little one isn’t cutting it.
Same here! We really don’t need people from companies like Vivint popping by.
As a parent, I've sold cookies with my daughter and still respected those signs. A funny thing happened once—a guy said the sign didn’t count for Girl Scouts!
I'd considered adding that exception too, but it feels a bit awkward!
Haha, I have a sign that says 'except for kids' after my neighbor's kid came by selling wreaths.
I don’t think it’s rude at all. Actually, I think it’s a polite way of signaling that you value your privacy. If someone thinks you’re the 'that a-hole neighbor,' it’s probably more a reflection of them than you!
Absolutely! Their job is to interrupt you, so they’re really the ones being rude.
Totally agree! Plus, it saves them from wasting time trying to sell you something you don’t want.
As soon as I put up my sign, I noticed way fewer solicitors bothering me. I even have one that jokingly says, 'No soliciting—seriously, we don’t want to hear your pitch,' and surprisingly, it works!
That’s a genius idea! I’m thinking about adding some humor to mine.
Love it! I had to put up a sign too after a guy refused to leave even after I told him about the sign.

Same here! My dogs go nuts, and we just ignore them, they leave eventually.
