Are Parkside Tools Enough, or Do You Mix and Match with Other Brands?

I'm diving into cordless tools and I've been enjoying the Parkside range for most of my needs. However, I find that in some categories, like circular saws, they don't quite meet my expectations. I've ended up using Metabo CAS batteries and Einhell along with my Parkside x20 setup. I'm curious if anyone else has explored other brands for similar reasons or if you've had consistently good experiences with Parkside tools.

I've started looking into other brands recently too. I used to be loyal to Parkside, but after my random orbital sander gave me carpal tunnel, I decided to switch it up. I found a DeWalt model with less vibration and it’s been a game changer! Now I also have a Makita belt sander that works wonders. Not all Parkside tools are bad, but you really have to pick and choose carefully. Do your research and you'll find some good alternatives!

Same here, some Parkside, some DeWalt, some Bosch (green and blue). Parkside is good for lighter tasks, but I agree, it's hit or miss.

I got into Parkside tools just a couple of months ago and they’ve been serving me well so far! I have a circular saw, jigsaw, angle grinder, cordless drill, and polishing machine, and they all do the job nicely. I might look into Makita or Metabo for a miter saw later since I’ve heard mixed reviews on the Parkside version.

I liked Parkside at first but noticed their prices rising, especially in Belgium. Sometimes you just can't beat the deals on more established brands, especially if they're just a little more expensive and you get better quality.

I used to stick exclusively with Parkside, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve shifted a bit. I’ve amassed about 55 Parkside 20V batteries (yes, 55!), 25 tools, and even some plug-in options for when I need a bit more power. My go-tos are the Parkside Green and Performance lines. All my bits and accessories are from brands like Yato and Bosch. That said, my favorite tool has got to be the 20V soldering iron while I can't stand the 20V heat gun – it's a total battery hog! But having a variety has definitely helped me out!

Why on earth do you need 55 batteries? I figured a handful would surely be enough. You might hold the record there.

I'm all about the value for money, and I've had good luck with budget brands like Parkside, Einhell, and Scheppach. My Einhell mower is a beast and handles my big lawn easily. It all depends on what you need it for!
