I'm thinking about getting a robot vacuum for my 1,200 sq ft house, which has mostly hardwood floors and a few low-pile rugs. I have a golden retriever that sheds like crazy, and I'm getting really tired of sweeping every day. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about robot vacuums—some say they're amazing life-savers, while others think they're just high-maintenance toys. I'm looking for some real-world opinions here!

If you've got a dog that sheds, I can't recommend a robot vacuum enough! It's been a total game changer for me. We have ours running twice a day to catch all the hair, and it really makes managing the mess so much easier. Still, I do a deeper clean once a week just to stay on top of it.
I had a robot vacuum that struggled with all the shedding, but I ended up having to sweep much faster myself afterward. Still, I think they can be super helpful!
I highly recommend getting a robot vacuum that self-empties and uses LiDar mapping. It makes a huge difference since it won't just bump around randomly. Scheduling it to run is super convenient too! That said, you might still need a traditional vacuum for the deep clean.
I used to think my robot vacuum wasn't worth it. But when it died, I seriously missed it for weeks and quickly went out and got another one! It won't deep clean, but for daily maintenance, it does the trick!

I totally agree! I've got a cat that sheds a lot, and without my robot vacuum, I'd be cleaning all day. It's great for daily upkeep!
