Are Rotary Hammers Enough for Trenching 4″ Slabs?

I've got some basement jobs coming up where I'll need to trench through 4" concrete slabs for plumbing. I already own several 60v 9ah batteries, so I'm considering the DCH733B and DCH481B rotary hammers. Will either of these tools be capable of handling this task?

Rotary hammers can work for smaller tasks like chipping around drain flanges, but they're not powerful enough for doing serious slab work. For trenching 4" slabs, I recommend renting a proper demo hammer and a partner saw to get the job done efficiently. You’ll want something in the 20lb range at a minimum, though 35lbs would offer the best balance of power and maneuverability. Those smaller rotop hammers just don’t pack the punch needed.

So the DCH911 seems to be a better choice then. Thanks!
