I'm in the same boat; I have a Samsung washer dryer set that's around 8 years old. Honestly, I would have picked a different brand if I had done more research. I've replaced parts like the belt and heating element multiple times, and my washer pump just went out. Plus, there was a recall because the washer could explode during spin! Definitely not the most reassuring experience.
I've had a terrible experience with Samsung appliances. I've heard that their washer dryers can be quite disappointing, and I've personally encountered multiple issues with different Samsung products in the past. I’d suggest looking at other brands if you can.
