Are Soft-Close Drawers Really Worth the Extra $350?

I'm planning to have a custom linen closet built for my master bathroom and I'm trying to decide if I should splurge on soft-close drawers. The cost would be $350 for seven drawers. Do you guys think this extra expense is worth it in the long run?

Soft-close does take a bit longer than regular slides, which could be annoying if you're in a rush. Plus, if you're storing bulky items, they might not close completely, and you won’t realize it right away. If the cost doesn’t bother you, they’re probably worth it, but just keep those things in mind.

Absolutely! In less than a year, you won't even think twice about the $350. They're just really nice to have, especially for reducing noise if someone else is around.

Totally agree! I love mine, especially in the bathroom where it’s nice and quiet.

For a linen closet, I'd say it's a personal choice. They are really great for places like a dresser or kitchen, but if it’s just a closet for periodic use, you might be fine with regular drawer slides.

That's a good point! I guess it depends on how often you'll be using them.
