Are street pebbles safe for indoor pots?

I've collected some pebbles from the street and boiled them with salt for safety. I'm planning to use them in a pot and want to know if they're bug safe, especially since I'll be keeping them indoors and really want to avoid any pests. Any thoughts?

Boiling the pebbles should eliminate most bugs, but don't forget to rinse off the salt! Salt can be really harmful to your plants, so make sure there's none left before you put them in your pot.

I'm curious why you want to use pebbles in your pot. They can help with drainage, but they're not a must-have! If you just want to decorate, that’s fine, but they'll actually keep the soil damp for longer than you might like.

Exactly! They look cool, but I find they can lead to soggy roots. Just something to think about!
