Are Sweet 100 Cherry Tomatoes Really That Great?

I just started growing Sweet 100 cherry tomatoes for the first time, and I'm pretty disappointed. They're producing a lot, but honestly, they're not very sweet at all! Am I alone in thinking they're overrated, or have others had the same experience?

I used to love Sweet 100s as a kid, but I think the flavor has changed over the years. I suspect it’s because they were bred more for yield than for taste. You might want to try Black Cherry tomatoes next time. They’ve got a great flavor and are a bit bigger. My brother loves Sun Golds, too, but I prefer that little kick of acidity from red tomatoes!

How do they hold up against diseases? I stopped growing sungolds because they just can't take the wilt.
