Hey everyone! I've got a pretty serious thrip infestation affecting my indoor jungle of nearly 100 plants. I was thinking about using systemic granules to tackle the problem, but I'm a bit concerned because my cat occasionally nibbles on a leaf here and there. Is there a specific period after applying the granules during which the leaves could be harmful to her? She doesn't bother with the soil, just seems to enjoy munching on the leaves. If systemic granules aren't a good option, what alternatives can I safely use that will deal with both the eggs in the plants and those in the soil? Thanks for your help!

If you have pets that like to nibble on your plants, it's best to skip the systemic granules entirely. They can be really toxic to animals, so safety first! You might want to look into alternative treatments that are pet-friendly. I've heard about using insecticidal soap or neem oil—just make sure they’re safe for household use with pets around. Also, keeping your cat away from chewed leaves is smart!

That's good advice! But what can I use if it’s effective on the eggs as well?
