I'm eyeing a local sale next week for some batteries. They have 8.0 Ah Power Packs at 2 for $350 CAD and 9.0 Ah 20V/60V Flex batteries at 2 for $380. I've always loved the 20V/60V tools and am considering if the 8.0 Ah packs are a good choice. I'd really appreciate any insights on which option would be the better buy!

It really depends on whether you're getting into FlexVolt tools or not. If you don't plan on using them, the 8.0 Ah Power Packs are the way to go. But if you are, then the 9 Ah Flex's are what you want since they used to be the top of the line.
Honestly, the 8 Ah Power Packs are really solid. They pack a better punch than the FlexVots when used in 20V tools, so if that's what you're mainly using, you might want to consider them.
It seems pretty obvious that going for the 9.0 Ah Flex batteries is a better deal. You get 27 Ah from 3 batteries compared to just 16 Ah from the 2 8.0 Ah packs, plus you can use them with your FlexVolt 60V tools. All that for just $30 more!

Yeah, I initially misunderstood, too! It's definitely better to get more capacity if you're spending that much.
