Are the lights I bought good enough for my seedlings?

Hey everyone! I've been trying to get into indoor gardening, but I've hit a snag. Due to my disability, it's tough for me to wade through all the technical information out there. I recently bought some LED lights for my seedlings, but now I'm worried since I just noticed the wattage is pretty low. I plan to hang these lights above some shelves that are 1 foot deep and just over 2 feet wide. Should I return these lights, or are they good enough for what I need?

Your lights are indeed in the ballpark! I usually look for at least 5000K and 2000 lumens. You're pretty close, and while you could find higher specs, I wouldn't say your current ones are a bad choice. Remember, each gardener has their own preference based on their unique setups and needs!

I think those lights will do the job! With 5000K and 1900 lumens, they should provide decent coverage. Just make sure your plants are pretty close to the lights. The closer they are, the better they'll thrive!

I've read that your lights are almost on point. For seedlings, the recommended distance is about 12-18 inches above them, but since LEDs produce high light output, your lights could work well if you keep them close. Also, aim for 12-14 hours of light daily and adjust it with natural sunlight if you can. If the seedlings stretch out too much, just move them closer!
