Are There Any Truly Thorn-Proof Gardening Gloves?

Asked By GreenThumb79 On

After getting my hands completely shredded while tackling an overgrown hedge filled with brambles and hawthorn, I'm on the hunt for truly thorn-proof gardening gloves. I've tried several pairs, including those designed for metal workers, but none seem to hold up against the thorns. Does anyone have recommendations for gloves that will actually protect my hands? Thanks in advance!

I've actually found that rubberized gloves work much better than leather for thorny plants. They seem to have better grip and don't get punctured as easily. Might be worth a look!

Welders gloves have been a lifesaver for me! They’re durable and provide great protection. Check out these leather MIG welders gauntlets; they can handle the toughest thorns. Just label them as gardener's gauntlets and you might end up paying way more!

Good to know about the gauntlets! I might just give them a try myself.

Yep, they work wonders! I used them while pruning my rambling rose, and it was a game changer.
