Are There Plans for a Cordless 6 or 9 Gallon Shop Vac from Dewalt?

I'm on the lookout for a 6 or 9 gallon cordless shop vac, preferably the stealthsonic model. Does anyone know if Dewalt is working on something like this? Even a hybrid version that supports both battery and AC would be ideal!

Dewalt actually doesn't make shop vacs themselves, so a cordless model from them might not be in the works. The closest option they have right now is their 60v dust extractor, and a cordless shop vac would definitely be awesome!

Considering how quickly battery-powered blowers drain, a cordless shop vac of that size might kill the batteries super fast. If you're looking for something hybrid, the 2 gallon vacuum they have is okay but not perfect.

I totally disagree! My 2 gallon wet/dry vac has been a lifesaver for years. It's not super powerful, but it's really handy for clearing out toilets and doing minor cleanups. I'd trade it for a more powerful 60V version in a heartbeat!

If you can reach an outlet, you're better off going with a corded vac. Cordless models are notorious for draining batteries quickly. A hybrid option would be decent, but I generally stick with corded for longer projects.

I totally get that, but I want a cordless for quick cleanups. A 2-gallon just isn't enough for me – it would be a hassle to empty constantly. Plus, with the quieter operation and no cord to deal with, it would be perfect for quick jobs!
