Battery-Powered Jig Saw Just Clicks and Won’t Cut—What’s Going On?

Hey everyone! I have this Parkside battery-powered jig saw, and after about 5 minutes of cutting, it just stopped. Now it only makes a clicking sound when I try to use it, with the lights blinking. The battery is charged, so I'm not sure what else is wrong. Has anyone experienced something similar or know how to fix it?

It sounds like your jig saw might be jammed or possibly has a dead motor. Try removing the battery and check if you can move the blade holder in and out. Sometimes motors can get a bit stuck if there's a ‘flat spot’ causing them not to start. If that doesn’t help, you might need to think about returning it.

Thanks for the tip! I actually tried moving the components, and it worked once but got stuck again. Plus, it's frustrating because this is my second jigsaw—the first one I returned, and now I can’t even find the receipt for this one!
