Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a 1/2 inch impact gun that can handle tight spaces. I work on buses and often struggle with big bolts in cramped and dirty spots. I've come across the Milwaukee M12 FUEL Stubby Impact Wrench (model 2555), but I'm not entirely convinced it's the best choice. Any recommendations would be super helpful! Also, I've heard that the CP2.5 battery is a good fit for size and output—should I go for that or something else?

You can use the 1/2 stubby with the 2.5 Ah battery, and it works just fine! I recently did a full brake and rotor job with one, and it managed to get through most bolts without a hitch, especially in tight spots. Sure, the 5.0 gives better performance, but don't let anyone tell you the 2.5 isn't functional—it definitely is! If you want a bit more power, the 5.0 is the better option, though.
The M12 Stubby is a solid choice! Just pair it with the 5.0 Ah high-output battery for the best performance. You’ll notice a significant difference when tackling those tough bolts.
I’d definitely recommend the Gen 2 Stubby (2563-20) along with 5.0 Ah batteries. They’re perfect for handling tough jobs in tight spaces and give you that extra power you might need.

I use the 2.5 most of the time too, it’s just easier to handle in tight areas, and I haven’t run into any major issues.
