I'm looking for advice on how to tap into a main 200A line using a transfer switch without needing to cut the existing 4/0 wire. I've seen some tap connectors out there that require chopping the main wire, but I'm hoping to find one that simply connects to the 4/0 line without cutting it. Any recommendations?

A good option that I used is the Buchanan Correct Side Tap. It's super easy to install and works well for connecting up to the 4/0 wire without needing to cut it. Just make sure to get the insulated type.
Consider the insulated tap connectors from NSI Industries. They have a model designed for 4/0 aluminum and copper. Just remember, you'll need to check that it has a pass-through and tapping port for 4/0 wires. Insulation is important, especially for safety and compliance, so make sure you pick one that fits your needs.
If you're considering how to make the connection, it might be beneficial to look into Polaris connectors for a safer splice. It can depend on how your system is set up and whether you need to redirect power. A diagram would definitely help clarify how to proceed without removing too much of the existing setup.
