I'm building a coffee table using an old metal frame I found and a new 1/4" acrylic sheet. I initially thought about drilling through the acrylic to use the existing screws from the frame, but I'm worried about messing that up. I'm leaning towards using double-sided tape for a cleaner approach. Does anyone have recommendations for a reliable tape or other ways to secure it? I'd like a solution that allows me to disassemble everything easily when moving.

Just stick with double-sided foam tape at the four corners! The thinner, the better for a clean look.
Agreed! Foam tape is perfect for this kind of project!
Consider using 3M VHB tape; it’s super strong. Just make sure to prep the surfaces well for the best results.
If you're looking for something really durable, try using a structural epoxy like J-B Weld or Loctite. It creates a solid bond between metal and acrylic, but make sure to clean and roughen the surfaces a bit before applying.

Definitely! But don't forget to clean the surface with alcohol first to ensure a strong hold.
