Hey everyone! I own a house that has great potential, but my kitchen feels stuck in the 90s with its all-oak design. The cabinets are of good quality but have seen better days and now look old and yellowed due to varnish. My husband and I are debating whether to paint them or refinish them, but he's not a fan of the painting option. I'm leaning towards giving the space a fresh feel and would love to know what apps can help me create mock-ups to visualize these changes. Any recommendations?

If the cabinet frames and hardware are solid, it might be worth just replacing the doors and fronts instead of a full paint job. That way, you can still refresh your kitchen with the new counters and lights without diving into a big project. Just a thought!
You should definitely check out SketchUp! There's a free version available, and it's loaded with tutorials on YouTube to help you get started. Just be warned that it can be a bit of a learning curve if you’re new to this kind of design software. You'll need to invest some time to feel comfortable with modeling in it.
Are you planning just cosmetic updates, or do you have bigger changes in mind?

I'm mostly thinking about paint or refinishing the cabinets, plus new counters, backsplash, and lighting. No major renovations though, just updating the look of the space!
