Hey folks! I'm thinking about investing in either a generator or solar panels to keep my essential appliances running during power outages. I live in France, where outages are rare, but sometimes storms knock out power, and I really need to keep my two lifting pumps and freezer operational during those times. My garage sits below my house and can quickly flood if the pumps can't work. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this topic! Thanks!

Hey there! A generator might be the most cost-effective route for you. Just make sure to use long-life fuel like Aspen or get one that can run on propane. That way, you won't have to worry as much about the fuel going bad. Since you’ll be dealing with storm pumps, you'll need to check their wattage requirements before making a choice.
