Best Beginner-Friendly House Plants for Small Spaces?

Asked By CuriousCat92 On

I'm looking to add a few small house plants to my rented room, but I don't have much space to work with. I've kept a couple of succulents and cacti during my university days, but I'm eager to try something different now. What small plants do you think are ideal for beginners?

I'd suggest looking into both pothos and snake plants. Honestly, these guys are pretty hard to kill, making them perfect for beginners!

You can't go wrong with pothos! They're known as devil's ivy because they're really tough to kill. They like organic potting mix with good drainage and prefer their soil to dry out completely before watering again. Also, they thrive in warm, humid environments but can survive in low light, which is great for a rented room.

Definitely check out pothos plants! They're super easy to care for and come in various colors and patterns, which is a bonus. Plus, they grow pretty fast, but if space is tight, maybe choose a slower-growing variety. I have a bunch of them, and if they get too big, you can just trim them and share cuttings with friends!
