Snake plants and ZZ plants are also great options. They thrive in a variety of lighting situations and are pretty much indestructible! Just make sure to let the soil dry completely between waterings, and you should be fine.
You should definitely consider getting a jade plant! They're super easy to care for and can tolerate lower light conditions. I usually just check if the soil is dry and if the leaves look a bit wrinkly—then I give it a good soak. Honestly, they're so fun to propagate too!
Aloe Vera is a fantastic choice! I picked up a tiny one from a clearance shelf years ago, and it has since multiplied into hundreds of little babies that I could sell. It's really low-maintenance and resilient—perfect for beginners!
