I'm moving to a slightly bigger place and I'm excited to take care of my first big plant! I'm specifically looking for options that can thrive in medium to low light since I only have three windows, so bright conditions won't be guaranteed. Any recommendations?

I went with a schefflera amate before, and it's been fantastic! It grows in low light and can get pretty impressive in size. Definitely a solid choice if you want something easy to care for that looks good!
A lot of folks swear by pothos for their first plant, but since you’re after something larger, consider a snake plant! They’re pretty resilient and do well in lower light. Just a heads up, some bigger plants can struggle without enough light, but a large snake plant might fit the bill perfectly!
If you're into unique looks, maybe check out a money tree or an umbrella plant (schefflera). They’re usually sold as larger plants and can adapt pretty well to medium light. Rubber plants are another solid option—they look stunning and aren't too picky about care compared to some other larger plants.

I agree! Snake plants are great and super forgiving. Just keep an eye on how tall they get!
