I'm working on some built-in projects and really need to cut dados into plywood. Can anyone suggest a reliable brand or source for 23/32" downcut bits that won't break the bank? I'd love any recommendations!

From my experience, Whiteside bits are top-notch for clean cuts and durability. I've also heard good things about CMT bits, but they tend to gum up faster. If you’re looking for more versatility, consider making a jig for your router – it allows you to use smaller bits and achieve precise results.
For cutting dados, I recommend clamping down two straight edges on your workpiece. This helps create a perfect channel when you take your board out. Use a 1/2" template bit for two passes, and you'll have perfectly sized dados! It’s a solid approach, especially if you don’t use dado bits often.
Check out Infinity Tools for their dado bit set. I’ve had great luck with their products, and they offer some good quality bits at reasonable prices.
