Best Budget Random Orbit Sander Under $100 CAD?

I've been using a Ryobi random orbit sander for quite some time due to budget constraints, but it has broken down three times now. I'm looking to invest in a new one without spending more than $100 CAD. I'm considering Bosch, but I'd love to hear any other recommendations you all might have.

I have a Makita too. It's affordable and gets the job done. I've tried other brands, and outside of Festool, the differences aren't huge, so you’ll be fine with any of these major brands.

I checked out reviews and it seems like the Makita might edge out the Bosch slightly, based on user feedback. I ended up buying a Makita and have no regrets—it’s been great!

At my old job, we used Festool sanders for woodworking, but for metal, we relied on Bosch random orbitals and they were a steal at about $70. Even with heavy use, they held up really well. Just a tip: using a dust collection system, like a shop vac with an adapter, can really enhance performance and longevity.

The DeWalt was my first sander, and I've had it for years without needing a replacement. I use it a lot and it still works perfectly! So, if you can find a good deal, I’d definitely recommend it.

A lot of folks swear by the DeWalt sanders, but honestly, I don't think there’s a huge difference between the 125mm models from well-known brands like Bosch, Makita, DeWalt, or Milwaukee. They all tend to perform quite similarly.

Exactly! You can't really go wrong with any of those brands. I've had good experiences with all of them, especially if you catch them on sale.
