Best Budget Single-Button USB Options for Push-to-Talk?

I'm putting together a DIY push-to-talk setup and currently use my keyboard's spacebar, pressing it with my foot. However, I sometimes hit the wrong key, which can be frustrating. I'm looking for a straightforward single-button USB device (either wired or wireless) that can serve as my push-to-talk key. I've checked Amazon, but nothing suitable popped up. While racing pedals could do the job, they're just too pricey for me.

To give you some context about my setup:
* My PS audio is routed through a PC connected to an HDMI soundbar.
* I send my mic signal from the PC to the PS5, using RTX Voice for noise filtering.
* Headphones are out for me due to tinnitus and ear irritation.
* I use Voicemeeter Banana macros, so pressing the spacebar mutes the speakers and enables the mic, while releasing it mutes the mic and turns the speakers back on.

With that in mind, does anyone have suggestions for a reliable and affordable single-button USB device?

Have you considered using an inexpensive mouse with a third button or a clickable scroll wheel? You could physically disable the other buttons and the movement sensor. Plus, Windows should allow you to use multiple mice at the same time, so you could easily map the third button to your push-to-talk function.

Sounds interesting! But does Windows really detect two mice at once without any hassle?

I actually use a cheap USB pedal for this kind of thing! It's not a fancy racing pedal or anything—just a basic wired one. Years ago, I had issues with Discord chopping off the beginnings of my sentences, so I needed something effective. I put a heavy cookbook on top of it to keep the mic on, and it works like a charm!

I was looking for a pedal, but I've seen some selling for way more than I'd want to pay. Any suggestions on where to find a good deal?
