Hey everyone! I'm looking to revamp a little shelf nook in my home filled with plants, but now that we've got a curious cat who loves to nibble on them, I need to ensure they're all kitty-safe. I already have some spider plants and cat grass, but I'd love more recommendations for the best cat-friendly houseplants. If anyone has advice on climbing plants or succulents that are safe for cats, that would be amazing! I recently had to remove aloe from the shelf since it's toxic to cats, so I'm being extra cautious. Thanks in advance for your help!

Check this out for inspiration! [Image of a plant setup](https://preview.redd.it/4ssgxg9kiele1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec961ea0c400c0fdb73b29d1c5ecb93c46dfc2c0). I think it looks great and is also cat-friendly!
Just a heads up, definitely avoid any type of lily. They can actually cause kidney failure in cats, so keep those far away from your shelf!
Thank you for this information! I appreciate it!
African violets are a solid choice! They’re not only beautiful but also safe for your furry friend. They add a nice pop of color too!
Thank you--added to the list!
