Hey everyone! I'm trying to find some colorful and dense ground cover plants that can thrive in a tricky spot of my garden. This area has a lot of roots and only gets partial sunlight. Any suggestions?

Vinca major or minor could be perfect! These plants thrive in shady spots and tolerate those pesky roots. Plus, vinca minor is native to the UK, so it's a solid choice for your garden.

Have you thought about creeping thyme? It really depends on your soil conditions, but it's pretty resilient and adds a nice touch of color. Might be worth a try!

Ivy could actually work well here! While it’s not traditionally considered ground cover, it does a great job in tricky spots like yours. It can handle the roots and doesn’t mind some shade either.
