I've created a small rose garden with some lovely roses that are now blooming after a dreary winter where they looked like nothing more than twigs. I'm looking for some companion plants that would add some visual interest and beauty while the roses are in their early stages. What should I consider planting alongside them to enhance the overall look?

If your rose garden gets some shade, Hostas could be a nice choice. If it's sunnier, consider perennial Lobelia since they won’t overshadow your roses. You might also want to think about spire-type Salvia or perennial Poppies. Evergreen options are harder to come by, but Hellebore is a solid pick—they look great together!
